When you have leftover flour, you just have to use it. Or at least that applies to me. For Oscar Night (and for a Meetup), I tried my hand at cookies. The recipe is right here (while I didn't have the baking powder, they still came out tasty).
Here, we have two separate bowls: one containing the flour, baking soda, and salt. The other is sugar, just before it got moistened with the melted butter.
The butter was melted and combined with the sugar, vanilla extract and egg. After this, we introduced the flour, baking soda, and salt. This is the midst of stirring.
I had leftover Hershey's kisses that I'd given out to students for Valentine's Day, so I thought, why not decorate? My Meetup was also on St. Pattie's Day, so it was only fitting that there be green icing as well.
